ABOUT

Hi! I’m RaeAnna and I started this website to provide local homeschoolers with community! I love the Charlotte Mason method of home education and also the Wild + Free movement that has grown throughout the homeschool world!

This website is a landing place for information. It’s main purpose is to support the homeschool mothers in Williamson and Maury counties as well as surrounding areas of Middle Tennessee that are willing to attend events in the Spring Hill area. I also want to point out helpful websites that I run:

My main homeschool blog – GCA Homeschool – This blog has articles I have written about our homeschool journey since 2017

My free music curriculum – Solfa Sofa – I started this project when my son was in 1st grade and have updated it a little each year! The curriculum is a set of printable flashcards, workbook, and more that follow a sequence of videos to teach the principles of Tonic Solfa. An approach to learning how to train the ear, understand music theory, and develop accurate pitch singing!

My music history curriculum – Composer Study Companion – This guide for parents includes active listening selections to enjoy classical music and learn more about the composer’s lives that wrote great music!

A little bit of background on the homeschool community in this area!

In 2015 we started a Facebook group for Charlotte Mason moms in the area and met once a month to discuss the writings of Charlotte Mason’s Volume 1. The group grew steadily and continues to grow as we cycle through each volume! To read a recap of each year and get some of our study tips on each volume visit my blog here!

Our mom book club continues to be a source of inspiration and support as we read through Charlotte Mason’s books! If you are interested in joining us for any of the book club events please click the contact button or e-mail and let me know! We meet in homes and the addresses will not be listed on the page but will be given in an e-mail once we verify your information!

A small Charlotte Mason co-op grew out of that original group that met to discuss Volume 1. We are not currently adding members, but my heart is to see more groups spring up with community for children! If you would like to meet and discuss how to begin a home group or co-op I would love to collaborate with you!

If you have any questions for me, I’m happy to chat with you virtually or in person! I love encouraging moms in their homeschool journey and look forward to serving you in any way I can!
