Welcome to the information page about our Nature Adventure group! I’m RaeAnna and I’ve been leading nature lessons for our homeschool community since 2016!
I love that we have so many passionate students that want to continue their adventurous spirit exploring and learning more! At this time, our meetings have moved to a private group but I wanted to keep this page open to inspire others in leading nature journaling events for their community!

I keep an expectation in the class that everyone will bring a picnic blanket and nature journaling notebook and supplies for the lesson! Feel free to bring a snack or lunch too! Information for each object lesson is e-mailed to families that attend. I find that students enjoy the lessons so much more if they come with a little preparation. That could be in the form of reading a story or book, or watching a video to prepare! During our time each parent helps their child complete a page in their nature notebook.
Our Nature Adventure is based on some of the principles I learned from reading The Coyote’s Guide to Connecting with Nature. We have a gathering song and a thanksgiving song to open and close each meeting. I highly recommend this book if you plan to host nature journaling events! John Muir Laws Guide is also a wonderful resource!
