We have the privilege of living in the 21st century where countless mental health professionals, doctors, naturalists, farmers, scientists, poets, musicians, and more have touted the praises of being in nature. I love that Charlotte Mason’s advice from the early 1900s have continued to benefit home educators like myself – all the current science and research seems to still back up the time tested advice of the importance of an education in nature. We follow the principles of nature walks and also focused object lessons as part of our science curriculum. Here is a list of topics we’ve covered in my nature classes!
